It´s midnight, and the male lead is racing down the highway trying to escape the police...
Suddenly he makes a U-turn and drives against the traffic. It doesn´t look good. This huge truck is heading right at him.
He tries avoiding it, but it hits the rear end of his car that starts spinning around. We hear a woman´s voice screaming from the trunk...
...And you are the one that has to light it.
The director wants to see the fear in the drivers eyes clearly as well as the sweat running down his temples.
You could mount big bulky lights outside the car, BUT THAT WOULD be a lot of hazzle...
and you can´t really find LED Lights small enough to fit inside the car in front of the actor.
A little later you´ll also have to light the woman in the trunk.
Again space is an issue, and you have to find a small fixture to hide in there.
Preferably it should RUN ON BATTERY as well to avoid struggling with hiding the cables.
You could use the interior lights in the trunk of the car, but how to bypass the switch that turns it on when opening the trunk...?
You wish you could find a better solution.
You pick up your phone and call a co-photographer to get his advice, and he says,
he would use this
NEW FIXTURE THAT JUST GOT RELEASED
As the name indicates, it is only 4" long (equal to 11 cm).
It will be brilliant for hiding in the dashboard of a car to light the driver and get that glow in his eyes, so the director will be able to see both fear, sweat and tears.
- It has a high output of 333 lumens
- and a low power draw of 3W
- It also runs on battery:
Dc 14.4 from D-tap with optional D tap to dc 2.1 cable.
Actually you can even charge it from the car
using the 12V cigarette dc plug,
so you don´t have to worry about bringing generators for your lighting.
And no worries about the cables for your trunk scene.
If you need a longer LED light for that by the way,
you can also get the Pipeline in:
1 foot (30cm) or
2 foot (60cm).
- and have a TLCI at 96+
You can choose between:
So for the trunk shot, you would probably need the 3200K
And they come with
- an inline manual dimmer
- Coldshoe adaptor
- and PSU with International Wall Plug Adaptor
This is what comes with the Pipeline Free 4" when you order it from one of our dealers
If you want to get more information about our Remote Phosphor Pipelines you can
